Building Christ’s Kingdom one heart at a time...

You can have a right relationship with God!  Here’s how...

þ 1. Realize that we all have rebelled against God our Creator, choosing not to live according to God’s design, but rather to live our own way, which is called ‘sin’.  (Romans 3:10-18, 23)

þ 3. Understand that the just punishment for your sin against God is death and eternal separation from Him.  But God offers you forgiveness and salvation because his only Son, Jesus, took the punishment for you. (Romans 3:23-24, 5:6-8, 6:23)

Ñ 5. By faith, receive God’s free gift of a new, full, and eternal life, and begin a new relationship with Him.  (John 1:12, Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 3:26, Romans 5:10)

Ñ 4. Confess your sinfulness to God, choose to stop living your way and start trusting God and His ways, believe Jesus took your punishment for you, and ask Him for forgiveness. (1 John 1: 8-9, John 3:16-17)

þ 2. Understand that your sin creates enmity between you and God, which blocks you from relationship with Him, and from receiving the good plans He has for you. (Colossians 2:13a, Ephesians 2:2-3, Proverbs 3:5-6, Jeremiah 29:11)

Step 1: Realize your dilemma

Step 4: Confess, repent, believe, and ask

Step 5: Receive God’s free gift of salvation and life

Step 3: Know that God has paid a dear price for you

Step 2: Admit the broken relationship

Good News!!

Sample Prayer:

“Dear God,  I know I have rebelled against you.

I have lived my life my way, without regard for your plan for it.

I believe that Jesus died for my sins so that I can have a relationship with you.

I know that there is nothing I can do to earn your forgiveness,

but that you offer it to me as a gift.

I now receive your gift of forgiveness, and a new life in Christ.

Thank you for providing a way back to you.  Amen.”

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.

The old has gone; the new has come.
